Here are random pics I'd been meaning to put up, just stream of consciousness type of thing, really. Snapshots from what I've been up to the past week or so.
pretty building downtown, from when I went to get some sewing supplies some time ago...
walking uphill from Chinatown, this is actually the side of the 110 freeway, and the hill in the back is the hill Dodger stadium is in. There are actually lots of cars and buildings and concrete around this area. But I like this (:
an antique top/corset at the Long Beach Flea Market I fell in love with... I should have taken more pictures, but I was actually in too much awe of it to really think, at the time :P
vintage dresses and minis I cut short(er) because I just thought... hey! Life should be fun, ladylike clothing for later, girlish now (:
cone threads for industrial machines, I actually have a lot more than this, and they're not compatible with the home sewing machine Whitney gave me, hehe (my closet is so messy :)
One of the dresses I cut, I actually only got so I could use the fabric, because it had tears and stains, but it's silk in a pretty sea green colour... but when I was cutting everything short, I looked at it, and I thought, ehh... it's my favourite type of silhouette, I could probably just distress it a bit, to get rid of the stain and just cut and rip more where it's ripped and stuff. So I started to cut pieces to sew back onto it... ^that's a preview (:
I got more dresses yesterday, though it wasn't that great. Will be cutting them short today, then errands, etc. Sis and I will be moving soon, so I have to figure out what stuff I want to keep and what to let go. But I am excited to get furniture and get organized (:
