Nouvelle Vague - Too Drunk To Fuck
Compy's been pretty sick lately D: Thursday night, Lena and I went to Fullerton to buy a mannequin. Haha, that was nice, and the mannequin is soooo pretty. She makes the clothes look so good! :D I will be relaunching my etsy store soon. I'd post some pics, but sis has been off to San Francisco area since Friday morning, and she took camera with her, so no pics this weekend D:
I went to a my new freelance job on Friday, it was nice (: I was sketching clothes on a pattern table... it felt so good! I miss being in a studio. I really like the designer's work (: It's very clean and tailored, but he drapes when he designs, so it really makes a difference in the drape/fit/feel. He said to bring drapes I'd done on Monday... excited!
Today, Jayne and Margo parked in my neighborhood, and then we walked downhill to my favourite restaurant in Chinatown. Food was good, and then we walked towards my metro stop- the Chinatown stop on the Gold Line, wondering where the Renegade Craft Fair was. When we got to the stop, we spotted where people and cars were going, and where the tents were set up. I guess there's a park there that I just never noticed before :P It was great! A lot of really cool stuff... I wish I had a camera so I could have taken awesome pics D: I wasn't expecting to buy anything, but I ended up getting a button keyring... it's also a botle opener, and it has a print of a serious sloth in a suit, with text- "Take it easy." it made me think of ruu. There were a bunch of things I really enjoyed. Bunting for children's rooms, hair ornaments made of vintage silk kimonos, a lot of prints/buttons, and this one amaaaaazing hand dyed wool place. I looked her up, cause she has an etsy. Found her blog- Lush Mommy. I love her stuff. I kinda regret not buying stuff from her D: But I know where her etsy shop is! :D I'm also following her blog now :P And then! When we were done looking, I had promised myself I'd go back and buy a button ring if it was still there by the time we decided to leave... so it was still there! :D It's a button ring with a print of some classic looking unicorn/dragon/mermaid. It's too awesome! :D I took a pic with phone (I will retake with proper camera later, so it'll be clearer and prettier):
After that, we walked back to Chinatown, passed through my favourite plaza, got boba at Lollicup, and then went to sit at another plaza cause they had benches and shade. We just sat around drinking boba and being happy about our purchases for a bit, haha. Margo was talking about Cake Boss, it sounded interesting. So they wanted to go back to her place and watch some episodes, but I decided to just go home and keep watching D.Gray-Man, hahaha. They knew I was gonna say that -__-;; So we walked back uphill... it was funny, cause Margo was like "where did this hill come from?" before she realized that she didn't notice, cause we walked down it before :P
